The synthetic topography of Night Vision Camouflage consists of poured plastic over fluorescent green paint, covered with the amputated feet of toy soldiers. Camouflage empowers its users to be present and absent at the same time. The feet of toy soldiers connects concepts of absence and presence to associations of childhood memories and the human cost of war.
